Aetherscend

Cross into worlds that want you dead
Build a Sanctuary worth coming back to

A knight, an archer and a warrior on a forest path below a crystal-topped stone tower

You are a lost soul. Build a Sanctuary on your island, open portals into other dimensions to fight and harvest what you need, then haul it home to upgrade and expand.

Features

Portal out

Open a portal to another dimension and run it for loot, quests and bosses. Everything you carry out is yours to keep.

Build the Sanctuary

Your island settlement is the sandbox. Lay it out, arm it, and grow it with what the runs pay for.

Rescue lost souls

Bring stranded souls home, give them roles, and let the Sanctuary keep working while you are away.

Melee, magic or guns

Three ways to fight, mixed freely. Commit to a discipline or carry all of it through the portal.

Craft and upgrade

Smelt what you harvest, work it at the bench, and turn a rough haul into better gear before the next run.

Solo or co-op

Run the dimensions alone or bring friends. The whole game is playable either way.

Questions

What platforms is it on?

Windows and Linux at launch. There are no console builds planned for Early Access.

How many players in co-op?

Anywhere from two upwards. There is no hard cap in the game, so how many you can hold comes down to the hardware running it. Host a listen server from your own game, or run a dedicated server for a larger group and a settlement that stays online when you log off.

Is there a demo?

Not yet. Playtest invites go out through the Discord first, and a public demo is on the plan.

What does Early Access mean here?

The game is in early development. Core systems including building, combat, crafting, farming, fishing, quests and co-op are playable, and content is still being added. Expect changes, balance passes and the occasional rough edge between builds.

What are the system requirements?

See the panel above. They are provisional while the game is in development and will be finalised closer to launch.

Is there mod support?

Not in the current build. The data-driven parts of the game are being built with modding in mind, and mod tooling is a post-launch goal rather than an Early Access promise.

Can I run a dedicated server?

Yes. A dedicated server build ships alongside the game for Windows and Linux, so a group can share one persistent Sanctuary.
